Bush Workers Collective
We are a collective working for the ecological restoration of Kulin Lands, adjacent catchments and Nations in so-called victoria.
In collaboration and with the leadership of First Peoples, community groups, businesses and radical~revolutionary activists; we are building a connected community of Workers that are dedicated to caring for country.
We stand with and for:
The Black Sovereign Movement: Landback and the reinforcement and revival of First Peoples Sovereignty and governance.
Decolonising Land Management: We believe that land management should be planned to outlast the current socio-economic regime. We will work for inter-generational and inter-cultural lineages of ecological restoration and management. Our work will be based on networks established by bioregion, catchments and First Nations territories.
Wage justice for workers, and the development of socialist models of material security eg. collectives, co-operatives etc.
Ideological Boundaries: We are socialists, and we will have firm, yet non-dogmatic ideological boundaries.
Organisational Structure and Processes: We are developing a democratic model of governance.
Collectivisation: The establishment of labour and production co-operatives and collectives based on catchments, bioregions and First Nations territories.
Mutual Aid: The establishment of mutual aid funds and networks to support community members, activists, and others in need.
Alliances: We will form alliances with individuals and organisations for our mutual benefit
Direct Action: we will support, organise, and engage in direct actions which protect Country and contribute to the liberation of oppressed peoples.
